A bit about me…
Hello! Thank you for visiting Mustard Tree Designs! It’s great to see you here! My name is Salome Maxwell, I am a Surface Pattern Designer, and the face behind Mustard Tree Designs. I live on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula, in Melbourne Australia, with my husband and our 3 beautiful kids! We are very spoilt with where we live, as we have beaches within walking distance, bushland and countryside only a few minutes drive away. My surroundings therefore provides more then enough inspiration for me in my pattern design work! So I have no excuse!
Another love of mine is photography. I enjoy using my DSLR camera, and I am constantly snapping away whenever we go out and about as a family on bushland walks, or countryside drives. I love taking photos of the countryside - with rolling hills, old broken down barns, rolled up hay bales, old style windmills, horses and cows, and of course sheeps!
I also love sewing when I get the chance, which is not very often with 3 kids! I’m self taught, so there’s been lots of trial and errors, but I love it and find it quite relaxing. So far I’ve sewn skirts and quilts for my kids. I love that I
now get to sew with fabrics with my own designs,, and this for me is one of the most exciting feelings ever! I would love to hear from you if you connect with my work, and are interested in licensing my pattern designs.
